Across a Thousand Dead Worlds – Now Available for Purchase

Across a Thousand Dead Worlds (or ATDW) is the new space exploration tabletop roleplaying game developed by Alex T. of Blackoath Entertainment, featuring solo singleplayer options, as well a GM optional group play up to 5 players! You’ll create your Deep Diver using the free-form character creation system, and begin your journey across the galaxy where you’ll discover abandoned research facilities, explore scientific outposts, and traverse other dilapidated sites in search for ancient alien technology.

Space Horror Exploration Tabletop Roleplaying

As a Deep Diver, your job is to board one of the alien vessels (known as Àrsaidh ships), travel to these unknown “sites”, secure anything of value, and safely return all samples to Karum Station. The only problem is, no one is sure where these mysterious coordinates may lead – perhaps an alien facility, maybe an unobserved planet, or maybe straight into a star that has gone supernova – spelling the end of your expedition.

Voyage Through The Black

Travel across the galaxy, discovering and exploring ancient refineries, scientific outposts, abandoned research facilities, and more, in search for ancient alien technology. Whether orbiting a dead star or on the surface of an ice planet, what gear you decided to bring with you and who your crewmates are will greatly influence your chances to survive.

All this can be done as a single player, with the help of the many GM-less tools available in the book, or with a group of friends, with or without a game master. With dozens of tables to randomly generate exploration sites, planets, and even opponents (ensuring you never fight the same creature twice), a GM or player can prepare a mission in a matter of seconds.

Ready to Launch?

Across a Thousand Dead Worlds is a large, in-depth book with over 400 pages with chapters spanning from character creation to on-the-spot mission tables – providing everything you need to begin your journey.

Take refuge aboard Karum Station, your home between missions (as long as you pay the fees, of course), and enjoy a drink with your crewmates before spending your hard earned credits on equipment for the next mission. Grab your gear, check your vitals, and prepare to deploy Across a Thousand Dead Worlds!

Congratulations!

A Vast Universe at Your Fingertips!

As a limited partner in Karum Enterprises, we do not need to explain to you the absolute privilege that it is to be standing where you are. Karum Station, the marvel left behind by the Àrsaidh, an ancient race of alien beings. From here, you will help find and shape the future of all humanity, and in the process, benefit personally from doing so. Earth has certainly seen better times, but here at Drake Industries we are firm believers in the power of community and humanity. We will overcome our common societal hurdles, and led by the brilliant vision of Jonathan Fraser, CEO of Drake Industries, we are working for the betterment of all humanity. And you are a key part of this! As a brave explorer, you will board one of the Àrsaidh ships and embark on a mission that will surely prove beneficial to all humanity, and most importantly, to you! Who hasn’t read the interviews with famous (and now, very rich) explorers, such as Dema Acharya, Jafari Cheboi, or Ella Abadie? Well, the next one could be you!

The Game Mechanics

Built from the ground up with a new, GM-optional system, Across a Thousand Dead Worlds offers a unique solo or group tabletop roleplaying experience with true character flexibility, in-depth setting elements, extensive generational tools, and other immersion building features.

But how does the game play? The underlying mechanic is simple: roll a single D20, add the appropriate Attribute or Skill, and if the final result is 20 or more, you’ve succeeded! This works the same during combat, only that the goal is to simply score higher than your opponent. Yes, this does mean that you can score a hit while defending an attack! Combined with the Stamina mechanic, which allows you to decide which type of attack or defensive maneuver you want to make, and you have as much control over your character’s actions as you want.

Explore

  • Travel across the galaxy, discovering and exploring ancient refineries, scientific outposts, abandoned research facilities, and more, in search for ancient alien technology. Whether aboard a forgotten prison orbiting a dead star or on the surface of an ice planet, what gear you decided to bring with you and who your crewmates are will greatly influence your chances to survive.

Develop

  • Create your Deep Diver, using a free-form character creation system that allows you to design it the way you want to play. Want to play a support character or a melee specialist? Everything is possible.

Thrive

  • Discover a flexible ruleset that allows you to solve any action with a single D20 roll. The powerful and brutal tactical combat rules will satisfy anyone itching for a fight, offering a level of action that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Not a fan of minis or tokens? No problem, you can use the more traditional yet equally thrilling rules for your combat.

Survive

  • Want to know how it feels to be inside a tin can crossing space with a bunch of strangers, not knowing if you’ll have enough oxygen or food for everyone to get there, or even to return? How will your teammates react (PCs or NPCs) when you start breaking down due to stress? Will they help you and tolerate your incessant, maddening foot-tapping, or will things end even before you’ve reached your destination?
